You will develop a comprehensive understanding of project management principles relevant to technical managers. These modules are designed to foster creative and innovative thinking and gain a deep understanding of how to apply industry methodologies in project management.

Research Project
The final project will involve a hands-on, industry-focused collaboration with IBM. You will undertake a comprehensive research study and write a project report that integrates project management theories, practices, and applications.
The primary goal is to solve a real-world problem or tackle a specific challenge using Artificial Intelligence presented by IBM. During the project, you'll work extensively with IBM software, particularly IBM watsonx and IBM Cloud, under the guidance of project mentors from IBM. You'll be responsible for developing a project plan for IBM, implementing project management methodologies, and thoroughly analysing your research findings and project outcomes.
As part of the project, you'll have to complete Mandatory Digital credentials from IBM Skills build in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud and Sustainability. This project offers you an invaluable opportunity to apply your project management expertise to real-world engineering challenges. Based on your in-depth analysis, you'll draw conclusions and provide well-founded recommendations to your clients.

Analyse project requirements, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate potential challenges, ensuring project success within specified constraints of time, cost, and quality.
Effectively lead and manage project teams, fostering collaboration, motivation, and communication to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex project management and sustainability issues, adapt to changing circumstances, and make informed decisions to drive project success.
Communicate project information clearly and persuasively to stakeholders, utilising appropriate communication channels and techniques to facilitate understanding and alignment.
Demonstrate ethical and professional behaviour in project management practices, adhering to industry standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering while upholding principles of integrity and accountability.
Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance project planning, monitoring, and decision-making processes, driving efficiency and innovation in project management practices.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of emerging trends, methodologies, and technologies in the field of engineering project management to remain competitive and contribute effectively to organisational success.
