The Master of Teaching (Secondary) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will provide you with the confidence, knowledge and skills required in the teaching profession.
You will complete core units in education and curriculum in addition to professional units of study. You will have the option to specialise in either one or two teaching areas at secondary education level, including:

Applicants need to be able to demonstrate a record of studies in their undergraduate study that satisfies the prerequisite requirements of the subjects they wish to teach. These prerequisites are determined by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) .
In general, you must have completed three years' full-time undergraduate study in the subject you intend to be your Major/1st Teaching Area and two years' full-time undergraduate study in the subject you intend to be your Minor/2nd Teaching Area.

If you are a native speaker of a language other than English but have not formally studied that language as part of your undergraduate degree, then you may be able to meet the pre-requisites for languages as one of your teaching areas by completing a Verified Language Proficiency Test .
