The MA Political Theory programme offers advanced-level, practical knowledge and understanding of political and ethical challenges in the contemporary world. It enables you to explore ethical dilemmas embedded in key areas of political life, including environmental catastrophe, war and violence, new technologies, and social and economic inequality.
The programme offers hands-on training in applying ethical values in political and social life by supporting students in developing the conceptual knowledge to appreciate the plurality of values in our diverse world and the methodological tools to effect positive change across a variety of contexts.

This is split across two years for the part-time option.
The English language requirements for our programmes are indicated by English bands, and therefore the specific test and score acceptable is based on the band assigned to the academic department within which your chosen course of study is administered. Note that for some academic departments there are programmes with non-standard English language requirements.
