The MA Film Studies offers an extensive range of options taught by subject specialists, covering key areas of film and media including film theory, style, representation, spectatorship, philosophy, and critical media practice (filmmaking). You'll develop advanced analytical, critical, and creative skills while engaging with film across diverse historical, cultural, and global contexts.
Located in the centre of London, our proximity to BFI Southbank (including the BFI Reuben Library), Southbank Centre, and Tate Modern means you will be studying film in the heart of one of the world’s leading cultural capitals, with access to exceptional resources.
