How can we explain the rise of populist politics worldwide? Why have relations between the EU and Russia become conflictual? Does European integration deepen because of external threats? This master’s at King's asks in-depth questions about modern Europe and its relationship to international politics, drawing on expertise from across King’s and the Department of European & International Studies. Our researchers span a full range of specialisms from humanities to political science. You can broaden your experience through extracurricular activities. These include language courses, practitioner talks, networking events and events run by partners including think tanks and research centres. You might also choose to spend a semester at Sciences Po in Paris or Humbolt University of Berlin.
Graduates from the department are working in influential roles across the world – in government, EU institutions, think tanks, media, consultancy, NGOs and the private sector.
