Brief description of the position: Focus on the design and development of Interior concepts for China-specific vehicle projects. The interior Designer combines advanced design skills with market awareness, to create forward-thinking proposals in both 2D sketches and 3D models. The role contributes to design feasibility, supports senior designers, and works closely with engineering and brand strategy to ensure high design quality. Key Tasks: Create 2D Sketches & Visual Presentations: Develop clean sketches, design layouts and presentation materials to clearly communicate design language, proportion and functional intent. Assist 3D Modeling & Surface Evaluation: Support digital 3D modeling activities and participate in surface reviews to ensure design integrity, aesthetic quality and engineering feasibility. Support Interior Design Development: Assist in the execution of interior styling projects, including concept refinement, component detailing and surface definition in line with project targets and timelines. Manage Design Data & Documentation: Organize, classify and maintain design files, reference materials, version records and project documentation in a structured and traceable manner. Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Communicate and align with engineering, modeling, color & trim and manufacturing teams to resolve interface and feasibility issues. Support Prototype & Model Development: Assist in design verification for physical models, prototypes and mock-ups, and track visual consistency between digital and physical assets. Qualification and skills required for the position: Education: • Degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or Automotive Design or related fields. • Must be currently enrolled as a student during the internship period. Knowledge, skills and others: Proficiency in Photoshop, Blender, Alias, AI tools or similar 2D/3D tools. Experience in working on design proposals from sketch to 3D model. Knowledge of automotive packaging, feasibility constraints, and production processes. Awareness of China’s automotive market, trends, and consumer behavior is a strong plus. Passion for automotive design. Strong English and Chinese communication skills, German is a plus. Team collaboration experience is preferred. The minimum internship period shall be no less than 6 months.
