The Ph.D. program prepares students for research careers in either academia or industry. The program generally can be completed in five years or less of graduate study: four semesters of classwork, followed by a dissertation. We offer two options for the Ph.D: Ph.D. in Computer Science Ph.D. in Computer Science with a concentration in Computational Science . Though there is no "official" Ph.D. Degree in Computational Operations Research, both the Applied Science and Computer Science Ph.D. degrees can be tailored to concentrate in COR. Students admitted to the Master's program for COR must reapply to the Computer Science Ph.D. program.
