This academically diverse programme equips you with skills to analyse the aesthetic, technological, environmental, and institutional dimensions of media culture.
Media Cultures and Environments combines a strong conceptual and theoretical grounding with the analysis of concrete cultural, curatorial and artistic practices. We empower students to develop media literacy skills, a sense of critical citizenship and civic belonging, and an ability to dissect and historically contextualise fast-paced audiovisual phenomena through rigorous engagement with media objects in both mainstream contexts and on their margins: from cinema, television, and visual arts to social media, apps, games, and digital platforms.
