Your taught modules will blend subject-specific skills of operations management, logistics, supply-chain management, sustainability, business analytics and international business in a global context, alongside theoretical evaluation of contemporary issues in management.
You'll also develop your independent research skills before focusing your efforts on a final dissertation project. This intensive project will be independently led (academic research focus) or conducted in collaboration with a selected industry partner (applied focus).
Our distinguished faculty includes authors of world-leading textbooks, such as "Operations Management" (10th edition) by Nigel Slack, Alistair Brandon-Jones, and Nicola Burgess (2022), and "Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management" by Melanie Kreye (2023).

Students at the University of York will benefit from cutting-edge research insights delivered by these experts, challenging their thinking and fostering a new generation of skilled professionals committed to responsible and sustainable practices.
