The Agricultural and Applied Economics M.S. Agricultural and Applied Economics appeals to students interested in specialized areas of applied economics. These areas include Environment and Natural Resources Economics , International Development Economics , Economics of Agriculture , and Economics of Community Development . Students choose courses within their chosen field area of applied economics. The program consists of core courses and elective options, providing a solid foundation in one or two areas of applied economics. Unlike the MSPO program , it is solely focused on coursework and does not include professional development components. To earn the degree, students must complete 30 credits over approximately 3 to 4 semesters. Applications accepted only for the Fall term. The MS AAE includes coursework that presumes students have taken courses in intermediate microeconomic theory, intermediate macroeconomic theory, two semesters of calculus, statistics, linear algebra and some coursework in their focus field.
