Our Philosophy MA will enable you to study philosophy at an advanced level, offering you the flexibility and freedom to pursue your own philosophical interests while further developing your skills in rigorous argument and analysis. Drawing on the breadth and depth of our research expertise across all areas of analytic and continental philosophy, this course offers a range of distinctive modules, allowing you to tailor your studies to your intellectual passions. You can also get involved in the various scholarly activities organised by the Warwick Mind and Action Research Centre, the Centre for Research in Post-Kantian European Philosophy, and the Centre for Ethics, Law and Public Affairs Link opens in a new window .
Something that I think is really valuable about the MA in Philosophy at Warwick is the variety of modules on offer. It can be difficult to find a postgraduate course that develops all of the interests that you might have picked up at undergraduate level. For example, after I finished my BA, I knew I wanted to continue studying the philosophy of mind, 20th century continental philosophy, and contemporary aesthetics—a difficult combination to cater for! Warwick, however, had in-depth modules on all of these topics and more, which allowed me to pursue my existing philosophical interests while exploring new ones along the way.
2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Philosophy or a related subject with a significant philosophical component; a writing sample of around 2,500 words on a philosophical topic.
