They give you a solid grounding in your chosen subject and prepare you to explore the topics that interest you most. Journalism and media are rapidly evolving and media professionals are needed who are prepared to meet these changes. This MA will give you holistic training in the professional skills needed for digital content creation. You will also explore the politics, economy and culture that shape the global news industry, as well as the media production field.

On this course, you will:

  • develop essential journalistic skills through project-based teaching and assignments
  • explore the fast-evolving contexts, forms, content, and ethics of journalism and media
  • engage with the transitional processes of journalism and media in the age of AI at local, regional and global levels
  • engage with the latest research and understand the power of media in our political, social, cultural and everyday lives
  • develop transferable skills of creative and critical thinking and analysis.
