Unlike traditional business school programmes, we take a deep, interdisciplinary approach, combining economics, political economy, history and social science alongside business studies to give you a truly holistic understanding of how East Asian firms, markets and institutions actually work.
Whether your interests are East Asia-wide or country-specific, this programme gives you the flexibility to specialise in China, Japan or Korea while developing a firm grounding in the local practices, global forces and structural dynamics— from digitalisation and decarbonisation to financialisation— that are reshaping business across the region and beyond.
Core modules establish the analytical foundations: Work and Organisation in East Asia, Perspectives on East Asian Economy and Business, International Business and East Asia, and East Asian Research Methods.
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in any subject.
We assess each application on the basis of the applicant’s preparation and achievement as a whole. We may accept applicants whose qualifications don’t meet the published entry criteria but have other experience relevant to the course.
If required degree subjects and modules are listed, these are indicative only. Sometimes we may accept subjects or modules that aren’t listed, and sometimes we may not accept subjects or modules that are listed, depending on the content studied.
We also consider a wide range of international qualifications:
