Whether you are starting your career in education, or are an experienced practitioner seeking to enhance your skills, this course will build on your existing expertise enabling you to develop an in-depth understanding of foundational theories and contemporary issues in the field of education.
You’ll take your interest in education a step further, learning about the histories, philosophies and practices in education - giving you the knowledge and understanding to interpret recent trends and debates within educational research and the changing shape of education and schooling, both locally and internationally.
You’ll develop a deep understanding of methods and theories in educational research, whilst choosing to specialise from a range of optional modules designed to give you specialist skills in the fields of psychology of learning and development, early childhood studies, languages education, neurodiversity and special educational needs, and the cutting-edge evolution of AI, digital literacies and creativity.
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in any subject.
We assess each application on the basis of the applicant’s preparation and achievement as a whole. We may accept applicants whose qualifications don’t meet the published entry criteria but have other experience relevant to the course.
