What motivates employees? How do you recruit the best applicants and how do you train them to succeed? How can you effectively manage a diverse workforce and promote inclusive practices?
Our Management Psychology MSc provides students with a strong understanding of how to use psychology in the workplace and the tools needed to effectively manage people. It is ideal for those who have not studied psychology before and does not presume any prior knowledge of research methods.
Students will analyse the main areas of management psychology: learning, training and development; leadership engagement and motivation; organisational development and change; psychological assessment at work; work design and wellbeing at work; strategic human resource management and managing diversity.

You'll study across a number of compulsory modules designed to provide you with the in-depth knowledge and understanding of core areas of management psychology along with the skills to apply that knowledge in a practical setting.
You'll learn over three semesters: autumn, spring, and summer. Typically taught modules are delivered in the autumn and spring semesters, with the summer used for the research project. However, this is dependent on your mode of study.
If you choose the MSc route, you'll take all of the compulsory modules for a total of 180 credits.
If you choose the Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) route, you'll study the same taught modules apart from the Project and Dissertation module, for a total of 120 credits.
