Explore the science of how people think, behave and work within organisations while developing the professional skills needed to influence positive workplace outcomes. Designed for students without a British Psychological Society (BPS)-accredited psychology degree, this course provides a strong foundation in business psychology and the practical application of psychological principles in organisational settings. You will examine how organisations attract, develop and support people, while building expertise in areas including psychological assessment, leadership, motivation, wellbeing, organisational change and people development. Alongside this subject knowledge, you will develop advanced research, analytical and problem-solving skills that enable you to evaluate workplace challenges and make evidence-based recommendations. Studying within Alliance Manchester Business School, you will learn how psychological insight can be applied to contemporary business challenges, preparing you for careers focused on people, culture, organisational effectiveness and workplace wellbeing across a range of sectors.
We require a First or Upper Second class honours degree (2:1, with 60% average) from a UK university or the overseas equivalent in psychology without GBC (Graduate Basis for Chartership), or in related disciplines such as social sciences, human resources or business and management. Knowledge or experience of statistics is desired. We may also look for a minimum grade in relevant subjects depending on your degree background.
Relevant work experience is desirable and examples of types of areas of work include HRM, counselling, training, career advice.
