Designed as an Executive Mode Master Programme, we aim to empower future nonprofit leaders with the knowledge and management skills to lead and transform social purpose organisations across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and social service sectors.
This curriculum offers cross disciplinary research-led teaching with a blend of theoretical and practice knowledge, and an extensive NPM alumni comprising local and global nonprofit and philanthropic experts, including leaders from social service organisations, social businesses, family foundations, and private philanthropic organisations. Students will be equipped with cutting edge knowledge on topics such as AI and philanthropy, strategic management, governance, impact investing, impact measurement, environmental, social and governance (ESG), fundraising and development, organisational assessment tools, and organisational leadership. The programme prepares students to navigate a rapidly changing environment while driving meaningful and sustainable social impact.
Alongside its broad foundational courses in nonprofit management, the curriculum includes selected offerings grounded in the Hong Kong social service context and tailored to the professional development needs of experienced practitioners and managers. The blended pedagogy approach, involving intensive teaching mode and online tutorials, is uniquely designed for working professionals seeking to advance their leadership and management capabilities while balancing professional commitments.
