1. You have completed a higher education degree providing eligibility for master’s studies
To apply in master's admissions, you must have completed, or will complete by the deadline, a higher education degree that provides eligibility for master's studies.
If the degree providing eligibility has been completed in Finland, the deadline is 31 July 2027.
If the degree providing eligibility has been completed outside Finland, the deadline is 31 August 2027.
You can be admitted to the Master's Programme in Translational Medicine (TRANSMED) if you have completed or will complete by the deadline at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent at a university or an institution of higher education in natural sciences or life sciences for example biomedicine, computer science or related fields (e.g. psychology and engineering). Degrees higher than a Bachelor degree are not regarded as an additional merit.
You can apply with a pending degree. In this case, studies completed after the application deadline cannot be taken into account in the assessment of your application.
2. Sufficient skills in English
You must demonstrate sufficient skills in English at the application stage. For the methods of demonstrating your language skills, please see the University website.
3. The reference from a professional in academia or industry
A complete application requires a reference (in English) submitted by professional in academia or industry through a separate online form as instructed. Only a single reference is considered, and you must provide the name and professional e-mail address of the referee to your application. For further instructions on the reference, please see the section “Required attachments”.
Only complete applications meeting the requirements listed above will be evaluated.
The annual enrolment is thirty (30) students. The number of students to be admitted may be reconsidered annually if necessary.
TRANSMED provides you with a solid basis for both academic and non-academic careers in the health sector.
