  • previous education | Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or another Bachelor's degree in Arts, Humanities, Philosophy or Social Sciences. A reading package will be provided in advance. At the start of the programme, we assume that you are aware of the concepts and theoretical discussions outlined in this literature. If you have completed a Bachelor's degree other than in one of the disciplines described above, you still have direct access to the MA if you: Students can also be admitted via a pre-master's programme. A selection of previous education programmes is shown below under 'Transfer options'. However, this list is not complete. If your study programme is not listed, this does not automatically mean that you will not be admitted to the Master's programme. In case of doubts or questions, feel free to contact the study advisor: studyadvice.rcs rug.nl: have completed the university minor Anthropology, Religion in the Modern World, or Art and Religion as well; or; can demonstrate the completion of 30 ETCS worth of subjects in the previous degree programme that have introduced you to Archaeology, Ancient History, Ancient Languages, or Ancient Philosophy.
  • language test | Language requirements for students with an international diploma: Exemption granted if: If English was the medium of instruction during your previous education, but you do not meet any of the above mentioned requirements, you are still required to provide proof of your English language proficiency.: Cambridge C1/CAE or Cambridge C2/CPE certificate with a min. score of 180; IELTS Academic: overall score 6.5 (min. 6.0 in all categories); LanguageCert Academic: overall score 70 (min. 65 in every category); Pearson PTE Academic: overall score 66 (min. 62 in Reading and Writing, 54 in Listening and Speaking); TOEFL iBT: overall score 4.5 (min. 4 in Reading, Listening and Speaking, 4.5 in Writing); You are a native speaker and have completed a full secondary education in the USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and Canada (only when taught fully in English); You will obtain/ have obtained a full-time Bachelor's degree (at least 3 years) in the USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and Canada (only when taught fully in English); You have obtained a VWO diploma including English as a subject; You have obtained an EB diploma including English as a medium of instruction (only if L1 and L2)
