What is MA Creative Writing?
On this course, you’ll develop your writing across prose, poetry, script, hybrid and digital forms, honing your unique voice as a storyteller. Creative experiments with genres – including popular genres ranging from fantasy to young adult to historical writing – will equip you with adaptable skills for today’s dynamic literary landscape.
You’ll also encounter digital and multimodal writing, opening up new possibilities for creative expression and audience engagement. The course builds your confidence through workshops, critical engagement and professional insight, preparing you for writing careers across the fast-changing global creative industries.
Based in the historic city of Norwich, England’s first UNESCO City of Literature, you’ll join a thriving writing community and literary events culture. From attending readings at UEA Live and the National Centre for Writing to masterclasses with leading authors and publishers, the MA will ready you to step into your own as a writer.
