Our course combines theory, practice, and innovation to give you the strong technical and contextual foundation you need to progress into a sustainable structures engineering career in either industry or research.
As the Sustainable Structural Engineering MSc launched in September 2025, there is limited data on graduates from this course.
The students from our department have historically gone on to high-level roles in industry, including Atkins plc, Skanska, ARUP, and Aecom. Others have gone on to pursue further studies at a PhD level at UCL or other leading organisations such as the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford ( Graduate Outcomes survey carried out by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), looking at the destinations of graduates in the 2018–2024 cohorts ).
