The world of work is changing rapidly as organisations respond to artificial intelligence, new ways of working, global competition, and evolving expectations from employees. Leaders now need to understand people and behaviour, work confidently with data, and think strategically about how organisations are designed, led, and transformed.
The People Analytics and Human‑Centric Management MSc prepares you to operate where people, data, technology, and organisational transformation meet. It combines leadership, people analytics, organisational behaviour, strategic management, and future‑of‑work perspectives to develop capabilities highlighted in leading reports such as the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report , including analytical and creative thinking, active learning, complex problem solving, systems thinking, technological and data literacy, and the ability to shape strategic direction in technology‑enabled organisations.
Across the MSc, you learn how to use data and human insight to understand workforce patterns and support key decisions. The focus is on how people analytics, organisational behaviour, leadership and influence, diversity and inclusion, sustainable work design, and strategic approaches to people and performance connect in practice, and how they can be applied to create environments where people and organisations can succeed. Teaching centres on data‑informed organisations, human‑centric leadership, workforce transformation, and evidence‑based management, with particular attention to how artificial intelligence, automation, and changing expectations reshape work, skills, and leadership.
This course provides a strong platform for careers across consulting, professional services, financial services, technology, healthcare, the public sector, and multinational organisations. By integrating people analytics, leadership, organisational behaviour, and strategic management, it helps you understand how organisations operate and how better decisions about people, data, and technology drive performance.
Beyond the classroom, you will become part of a supportive postgraduate community within the School of Management and across UCL. You can connect with students from other courses, join UCL societies and clubs, and work closely with the School’s Careers and Employer Engagement Team to explore different sectors, test your interests, and begin building a professional network that will continue to support your career after graduation.
The knowledge and capabilities developed throughout the course reflect the changing requirements of employers across private and public sector organisations, from global corporations and consultancies to public institutions and policy-focused bodies. You will learn to combine analytical thinking, behavioural insight, technological awareness, and commercial understanding with the ability to communicate evidence clearly and support strategic decision-making.
