A minimum of a second-class Bachelor’s degree from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
This course combines built asset and facilities management with digital innovation, data analytics, artificial intelligence and smart technologies. You explore technologies and approaches including Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twins, big data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), mixed realities and digital collaboration systems, while assessing their impact on asset performance, sustainability, lifecycle management and decision-making.
Rather than focusing solely on technology implementation, the course takes a systems-based and interdisciplinary approach to digital innovation. You investigate how organisations, projects and stakeholders interact across the lifecycle of built assets, while developing your understanding of digital workflows, collaborative practice, facilities management, circular economy principles and strategic asset planning.
Developed in collaboration with industry professionals and organisations across the asset and infrastructure sectors, the course is informed by current industry challenges and emerging professional practice. You benefit from research-led teaching, engagement with guest speakers and opportunities to explore how digital innovation is applied across real-world built asset and infrastructure contexts.
