The Design for Performance and Interaction MArch provides an opportunity for you to work with interactive technologies, to consider objects, space, people, and systems as potential performers.
Throughout this master’s degree, you gain advanced skills to design for performance and interaction, informed by multidisciplinary theories taken from architecture, performing arts, digital media, spatial interaction, anthropology, sociology, psychology, cybernetics, cognitive neuroscience, or aesthetics.
You will learn to communicate ideas in three and four dimensions through animation, film, live presentation and staged events, real-time simulation, or virtual, physical, and hybrid environments. You will also develop advanced knowledge and experience of the design and production of well-considered spaces, and performances and interactive assemblies.
Students will gain skills that can help them progress into careers in physical and virtual interaction design, interactive architecture, performance space design or the creation of performative events, all vibrant areas of global design in the 21st century.
Graduates from the Design for Performance and Interaction MArch have moved into working in a variety of industry sectors including performance and the creative arts, construction, and the built environment, as well as academia.
