Beginning in the 2025 academic year, the Department of Environmental Management, newly established as a separate entity from the former Department of Environmental Planning, aims to identify the root causes of environmental problems in the era of climate change and to propose solutions oriented toward achieving carbon neutrality. Its objective is to deepen systematic analytical capacities and integrative understanding of the dynamic interactions between humans and the environment. To this end, the department employs a wide range of interdisciplinary methodologies spanning the natural sciences, engineering, and social sciences, and pursues comprehensive as well as creative approaches to problem-solving.
