The Master of Science in Management Engineering is structured over two years, for a total of 120 ECTS credits. The educational programme is highly articulated and pursues two complementary objectives:
On the one hand, to develop—through a shared core of knowledge, methodologies, and approaches—a common foundational identity for the management engineer;
On the other hand, to prepare professionals with a broad set of competencies capable of meeting the diverse needs of companies and institutions in which management engineers will operate, performing both traditional and innovative roles.
Building on these premises, the MSc programme aims to develop five learning objectives, enabling graduates in Management Engineering to:
1. UNDERSTAND
the challenges, functions, and processes within business and industrial contexts, and their effects on firms, the economy, the environment, and society;
2. IDENTIFY
trends, key technologies, methodologies, and stakeholder needs within a specific context (major‑based specialization);
3. DESIGN
solutions by applying a scientific and engineering approach (analytical, learning, reasoning, and modelling capabilities derived from a solid and rigorous multidisciplinary background), combined with participatory methods to address problems and opportunities in business, industrial, and societal settings;
4. DEVELOP
new ideas and transformative solutions that generate a positive impact on evolving business, industrial, and social scenarios;
5. INTERACT
in a professional, responsible, inclusive, effective, and constructive manner in the workplace, also motivating other members of the team.
The Master of Science (MSc) in Management Engineering (equivalent to Laurea Magistrale in Management Engineering) is a study programme that aims to achieve two complementary objectives. Firstly, it aims to develop a unitary professional profile relying on a common body of knowledge, methods, and procedures. Secondly, it aims to train qualified professionals with a range of skills that can satisfy the requirements of the different companies and institutions where management engineers will work, both in traditional and innovative fields.
Moving from these premises, the MSc in Management Engineering aims students to achieve five Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO). Specifically, Management Engineering students will learn to:
The educational project focuses on developing a strong culture of problem-solving and modeling, based on strict qualitative and quantitative methodologies. It involves interactive teaching methods that encourage teamwork, and high-profile guest speakers from industry and service, the finance and consultancy sectors. Additionally, it envisages a continuous updating of teaching methods and case studies to enrich the educational experience.

Programme Overview
Admission to the Master of Science programme is subject to an evaluation process aimed at assessing the eligibility of applicants. In accordance with current regulations (Ministerial Decree 22/10/2004 No. 270, Art. 6, paragraph 2, and Ministerial Decree 16/3/2007, Art. 6, paragraph 1), this process is based on curricular requirements and on the verification of the adequacy of the students’ academic preparation.
Admission to the Master of Science programme will be decided, without possibility of appeal, by an Evaluation Committee appointed for this purpose by the Programme Board. The Committee will base its decision on the analysis of the academic record and, in particular, on compliance with the admission requirements.
Educational Rules (specific requirement at chapter 6)
For applicants holding a foreign qualification, admission to the Master of Science programme requires a first‑cycle degree that is valid and officially recognized in the country where it was obtained, an adequate academic background consistent with the chosen programme, and compliance with the required language prerequisites. Admission is subject to the evaluation of the applicant’s academic record by the Committee, which verifies curricular requirements, the quality of the study programme, and the mandatory documentation to be submitted.
