The Master of Arts (M.A.) in History (Thesis) offered by the Department of History and Classical Studies in the Faculty of Arts is a research-intensive program that emphasizes challenging and innovative learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in critical reading, original thinking, and academic writing to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.
The program may also be taken as one of the following options:
Development Studies option : offers advanced thematic and methodological training in using the discipline of history to study international development. The thesis must relate to an historical topic related to a theme in international development.
Gender and Women's Studies option : offers specialized courses in Gender & Women’s Studies and student's complete their thesis with an emphasis on feminist, women’s, and gender studies.
