General requirements for university studies in Sweden as well as a Bachelor in Music 180 credits or equivalent and successful entrance tests to the Master’s Programme in Music. Exceptions can be made from the basic eligibility requirement of proficiency in Swedish for international students.
This programme is aimed at students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music, or an equivalent qualification, and want to take the next step in their musical and artistic development. Through individual tuition, group classes and artistic projects, you will refine your technique, strengthen your interpretative skills and expand your understanding of musical performance.
A central part of the programme is the preparation and interpretation of repertoire. Working closely with a repertoire coach/pianist, you will explore questions of technique, expression and artistic choice in relation to the music you perform. Chamber music and symphony orchestra projects provide opportunities to work in a range of ensemble settings, developing your listening skills and your ability to contribute as part of a musical group.
By combining individual study with collaborative performance, the programme offers a broad and practical experience of advanced musical training and prepares you for a professional career as a musician.
