The programme offers opportunities for independent work in composition and arranging, supported by further study of harmony, musical form, counterpoint, and musical expression. You will explore the tonal colours and expressive possibilities of writing for choir, soloists, organ, and a range of instrumental ensembles. Through practical projects, you will also have the opportunity to bring your musical ideas to life and explore how they work in performance.
The programme places a strong emphasis on independent study, encouraging you to take increasing responsibility for your artistic development. Alongside your creative work, you will develop an understanding of entrepreneurship and gain the tools to shape your future professional practice. Together, these elements will prepare you to further develop your artistic identity and work independently as a composer and arranger.
