General requirements for university studies in Sweden as well as a Bachelor in Music 180 credits or equivalent and successful entrance tests to the Master’s Programme in Music. Exceptions can be made from the basic eligibility requirement of proficiency in Swedish for international students.
This programme is aimed at students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music, or an equivalent qualification, and want to take the next step in their musical and artistic development. Here you will deepen your technique and refine your personal artistic voice through individual tuition, group classes and masterclasses. You will also work on creating and delivering musical and stage performances.
A key part of the programme is the study and interpretation of repertoire. Together with a repertoire coach/pianist, you will explore how to develop your personal artistic expression, with a focus on both technical precision and artistic interpretation. Through chamber music and ensemble singing, you will gain experience of a variety of musical settings while developing your responsiveness and ability to collaborate with other musicians.
Together, the different elements of the programme create an environment in which you can develop your musicianship while you gain practical experience and prepare yourself for a career as a professional singer.
