The Master of Science Programme in Global Studies explores how globalisation relates to security, conflict and social change. This two-year programme brings together perspectives from across the social sciences to help you understand global processes and transformations. You will examine these developments through political, economic, social and cultural theories.
You will develop your ability to compare different perspectives, critically assess research and analyse complex global issues. By exploring the relationships between the programme’s central themes, you will learn to make informed analyses of how societal change shapes and is shaped by global developments.
The programme prepares you for work with global issues in government agencies, private companies and non-governmental organisations. It provides knowledge and analytical skills relevant to policy development, training and professional practice, as well as a foundation for doctoral studies and further research.
