Our MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is meticulously designed to develop highly skilled graduates with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. By integrating Electrical and Electronic Engineering with essential management skills, the programme prepares graduates to excel as leaders in their careers, whether in industry or academia.
Designed by world-leading academics in consultation with industry advisors, the programme offers flexible study routes in robotics and control, energy engineering, and communications and the Internet of Things (IoT). This flexibility allows you to specialise in fields that align with your projects and career goals. Teaching themes of engineering management, entrepreneurship and machine learning complement the technical education, ensuring graduates are well-rounded and equipped to thrive in the modern engineering landscape.
You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including our electronics, mechatronics and communications laboratories, which are equipped with digital image processing equipment, software defined radios, drones, professional network measurement equipment, and industry standard software. You will also have access to an RF anechoic chamber for antenna testing, as well as the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST).
The MSc programme is structured into block-taught weeks, meaning you will engage in all learning and teaching on campus during a full week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm). Afterward, you will have about four weeks to submit any associated coursework. This applies to both full-time and part-time study options. For more information about part-time study patterns, please contact the School/Department.

You should have a Bachelor’s honours degree, typically a 2:2 or above. Ideally, you should have an undergraduate degree in an engineering or physical science.
We also welcome applications from mature students and recognise all other equivalent and international qualifications. Applicants with academic qualifications that do not meet the standard entry criteria may be considered if they have significant relevant work experience.
Applicants must meet the minimum English language requirements. Further details are available on the International website .
