Keeping the supply of energy secure for the future is the challenge for the energy engineer. Keeping it flowing to end users is a necessity. Youwill gain the electrical, mechanical and economic know-how to respond sustainably to that challenge. The Master of Engineering: Energy (120 ECTS) is a research-based master’s programme in which you can specialise in the following fields: The Master of Energy addresses the main issues of mechanical and electrical energy engineering in a balanced and integrated manner, with an in-depth appreciation of socio-economic preconditions that impact the engineer’s sphere of action. The programme covers all multidisciplinary aspects of energy, including the possibilities and limitations of various energy technologies, as well as environmental and economic aspects, preparing you for careers in research and development, policy, management, and industrial applications. This unique interdisciplinary programme in Belgium, with a pioneering role in Europe, is taught by a strong academic team and guest professors from industry, supported by EnergyVille (a collaboration between KU Leuven, UHasselt, VITO and imec), and has an international scope through global partnerships with leading universities in the energy domain.
