Before you start, look to have the following ready:
You don't need every document to hand before you start. You can save your application and add documents as they become available. See our full list of application documents for more information.
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive email confirmation, followed by access to our Applicant Portal where you can upload any outstanding documents and manage your details. See our After you apply page for next steps.
See our key dates and deadlines for our current application deadlines by intake and campus. Places are limited, so we recommend you apply as early as possible.
We welcome applications from talented individuals of all backgrounds and each application is considered on its individual merit. Usually applicants must hold:
A UK first or second class undergraduate degree with honours, as a minimum, or equivalent international qualification.
Ideally applicants will have studied in a science or engineering related subject.
Find information about equivalent qualifications in your country on our International entry requirements page .
If you do not meet the above entry requirements but still feel you can demonstrate the ability to complete the course successfully, you may still be accepted onto a course with a lower qualification and relevant experience. Ideally your experience will be in a science or engineering related role. Exceptional applicants may be accepted on experience alone.
