Prepare to become a future project leader by combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Learn how to manage stakeholders, risks and the project lifecycle.

Key course content includes the following:

• Strategic project management and organisational culture: explore project processes, stakeholder management, and teamwork within diverse groups to drive change.
• Governance, ethics, and methodologies: cover Agile, PRINCE2 and governance schemes to improve project success and sustainability.
• Data-driven decision-making and risk management: focus on project analytics, risk management, and forecasting techniques using tools like Microsoft Projects 4 to help achieve project outcomes.
• Flexibility: gain a degree that could open many career pathways in general business management or more specialised roles in project management. This flexibility should allow you to work in both commercial and non-profit organisations across various business sectors.
• Industry recognised: gain a degree that follows an industry-relevant curriculum, closely aligned with industry best practices, as set out in the Association of Project Management APM’s Body of Knowledge, 8th edition. This demonstrates the course's quality and may offer opportunities to apply for additional qualifications.
• Applied teaching approaches: develop the knowledge and skills needed to use a range of project management methods including PRINCE2, PMBOK and Agile PM, which are essential in effective management.
• Strengthen leadership capabilities: obtain core management skills, such as those which focus on people, communications and teamwork.
• Prepare for the future: develop knowledge in subjects that contemporary project managers must engage with, such as project data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other emerging techniques to support decision-making in increasingly complex environments.
• Professional accreditation: study an MSc accredited 1 by the Association for Project Management (APM), which can support your application for APM Full Membership through Route One , subject to APM’s relevant experience and other eligibility requirements. Students on this course are also eligible to apply for free APM Student Membership .
