This course aims to develop your understanding of leadership and management principles, applicable to healthcare, public health, and broader care sectors.

• This course focuses on change management, continuous improvement and innovation in healthcare systems.
• You'll address current issues such as managing organisational dynamics, culture, leadership, ethics and data availability.
• Explore the impact of these issues on decision-making, service delivery, emergency response and health outcomes.
• Learn from an international academic team with real-world experience in global healthcare management. (Staff are subject to change.)
• Benefit from inter-professional learning opportunities, utilising authentic teaching materials and assessments.

The module Leadership within Healthcare Systems meets the criteria set by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) for the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice. Students who successfully pass this module will be eligible to gain the award as an additional qualification at no additional cost.

An honours degree 2:2 or above (or international equivalent) in a clinical, health or social care discipline.
