📖 项目简介

Hong Kong's ageing population and rising musculoskeletal needs make healthy ageing, functional independence and community rehabilitation urgent priorities. The MSc MRGO builds workforce capacity in musculoskeletal care, geriatric orthopaedics and rehabilitation across hospital, primary care and community settings, aligning with the National 15th Five-Year Plan, and major HKSAR policy directions in primary healthcare, healthy ageing and smart rehabilitation. This consolidated MSc program combines our previous offerings: the MSc in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Rehabilitation and the MSc in Geriatric Orthopaedics, both established in 2017. The latest course structure since 2024/25 To enhance flexibility in module selection, the Streaming Policy was phased out starting with the 2024/25 admissions. Students admitted from now on will have the freedom to select elective courses without being restricted to a specific stream of study. (click the chart below to see the details)

In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, applicants

  • should have obtained a medical degree from a recognized university; or a Bachelor’s degree in health care related discipline or biomedical sciences from a recognized institution; or a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Rehabilitation programme, with satisfactory performance; and
  • may be required to attend an interview as part of the admission process.

Past academic record, work experience, references and language abilities will be considered in the admission decision.
