Production support • Support daily production on the floor, helping operators and technicians work through process and equipment issues as they come up • Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis on production problems, learning structured problem-solving methods along the way • Conduct time studies and line balancing analysis to identify bottlenecks • Support installation, setup, and debug of tooling, fixtures, and test equipment Documentation and standards • Write and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and visual aids for assembly and test stations • Maintain process documentation and keep it current as processes evolve • Support first-article inspection and process validation activities • Help build and maintain training materials for production operators Data and analysis • Collect and analyze production data on cycle time, yield, downtime, and defects • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that show how the line is performing • Track quality trends and flag emerging issues to the engineering team • Support continuous improvement projects with data and analysis Collaboration and growth • Partner with our manufacturing teams in China to learn established processes and help adapt them to the Atlanta site • Work with quality, supply chain, and design engineering on issues that cross team lines • Take ownership of assigned stations, processes, or improvement projects as you gain experience Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field • Strong hands-on aptitude — you're comfortable with tools, mechanical assembly, and taking things apart to understand them. Experience from labs, capstone projects, robotics teams, Formula SAE, internships, co-ops, or personal builds all count • Ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel • Strong written communication skills — a good portion of this job is writing instructions other people have to follow • A proactive, curious mindset and willingness to spend most of your time on the production floor • Based in or willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area; this role is onsite Preferred Qualifications • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a production environment • Coursework or project experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement • Familiarity with products that combine mechanical, electrical, and software systems — robotics, automotive, or industrial equipment • CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or similar) • Exposure to ERP or MES systems • Mandarin and English bilingual proficiency • Willingness to travel internationally for training
