Inspection and testing Perform and support incoming, in-process, and end-of-line inspection against drawings, specifications, and control plans Execute and document functional and performance tests on finished robots Support first-article inspection for new parts, suppliers, and engineering changes Help develop inspection instructions, checklists, and acceptance criteria for new products and stations Issue investigation and resolution Document nonconformances clearly and drive them through disposition Support root cause analysis and corrective action investigations using structured methods such as 5 Why, fishbone, and 8D Track corrective actions to closure and verify that fixes actually held Assist with supplier quality issues, including containment, communication, and follow-up on supplier corrective actions Quality data and reporting Collect and analyze quality data on defects, yield, scrap, and rework Build and maintain reports, charts, and dashboards showing quality performance over time Identify defect trends and recurring issues, and bring them to the engineering team with the data behind them Support statistical process control on key characteristics as production stabilizes Systems and documentation Maintain quality documentation, control plans, and inspection records Support internal audits and help build the plant toward ISO 9001 compliance Partner with manufacturing, design engineering, and supply chain on quality issues that cross team lines Train production operators on inspection points and quality standards Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and bills of materials Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel Strong attention to detail — this role is built on catching what others miss Hands-on aptitude and comfort working with physical products.
