About the role Opes Accounting Group Pty Ltd is a growing, client-focused firm with offices on Glenferrie Road, Malvern (Melbourne), and in Echuca. You will work alongside experienced Managers, gain hands-on exposure to a diverse client portfolio, and receive the training and study support you need to become a qualified professional. All work is performed in the office, where you will receive direct, face-to-face guidance from your managers. Key responsibilities • Assist with preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns • Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and help meet other compliance requirements • Provide accounting and taxation support to a diverse range of clients • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting workpapers • Liaise with clients to obtain financial information and documentation • Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting functions • Develop your understanding of taxation legislation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements • Work with the wider team to deliver efficient, high-quality client service
