About the role Growing Minds Early Learning Centre is seeking a Child Care Educator - Trainee to join our team on a full-time basis in Tamworth NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and education to begin their career in the childcare sector. As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of experienced educators whilst gaining practical experience in a supportive and nurturing environment. This role is fundamental to delivering quality care and educational experiences that support the growth and development of children in our centre. Key responsibilities • Supervise and care for children in accordance with legislative requirements and centre policies • Create and maintain a safe, clean and hygienic environment for all children • Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that promote development • Engage with children using positive behaviour guidance techniques and supportive communication • Assist in documenting children's learning and development observations • Liaise and communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing • Maintain detailed records and complete required documentation • Support the implementation of the centre's educational programs and routines • Collaborate with experienced educators and centre leadership to provide quality care • Participate in professional development and training opportunities

What we're looking for • A genuine passion for working with children and commitment to early childhood education • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing employment • Basic First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these qualifications • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including bending, lifting and active play with children • Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to childcare • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding children's wellbeing • Willingness to undertake formal early childhood education qualifications such as a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or similar • Experience or qualifications in childcare is advantageous but not essential for trainees What we offer At Growing Minds Early Learning Centre, we are committed to supporting our team's professional development and wellbeing.
