We have an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for a Graduate/Assistant Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure across accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, month-end processes and financial administration within a supportive finance team. The position is ideal for a junior finance professional looking to build practical experience and develop a long-term career in accounting. This role is initially based in Cannington and will be relocating to Rockingham in the new year. Description • Process accounts payable invoices and resolve invoice discrepancies • Reconcile supplier statements and balance sheet accounts • Assist with general ledger maintenance and trial balance preparation • Process accounts payable payments and administrative invoices • Support payroll processing, timesheet administration and leave management • Complete bank reconciliations and financial data entry • Assist with debtor collections and receipting • Maintain employee records and finance-related documentation • Provide administrative support to the finance and broader business teams • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives • Support month-end accounting activities and reporting requirements Profile A successful candidate should have: • Accounting, Finance or Commerce degree completed or currently in progress • Studying towards or intending to commence CA or CPA qualifications • Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Payroll Officer or similar role preferred • Exposure to accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations or general accounting functions desirable • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop Job Offer • Temporary to permanent opportunity • Potential support towards CPA accreditation • Opportunity to join a stable and growing Australian business • Broad exposure across accounting, payroll and finance operations • Supportive team environment with hands-on mentoring • Career development and progression opportunities Explore this Graduate/Assistant Accountant role and apply to discuss the work.
