Our Graduate Nurse Program is designed to support your transition from university to professional practice, providing exposure to both residential and community aged care settings. What You'll Learn As a Graduate Registered Nurse in our Residential and Community Aged Care Services, you'll care for older Australians across diverse settings while being supported by experienced clinicians who are committed to your success. Through structured learning, clinical coaching, and hands-on experience, you'll build skills in: • Clinical assessment and person-centred care planning • Medication management and clinical decision-making • Dementia, chronic disease, and complex care support • Wound, palliative, and end-of-life care • Falls prevention, mobility, and healthy ageing initiatives • Nutrition, hydration, and dysphagia management • Clinical documentation and quality improvement • Building meaningful relationships with consumers, families, and multidisciplinary teams With exposure to both residential and community aged care, ongoing mentorship, and dedicated clinical support, you'll graduate with the confidence, capability, and experience to build a rewarding career in aged care nursing. Most importantly, you are passionate about supporting older Australians to live with dignity, choice, and independence while making a meaningful difference in their lives. A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have! • Previous experience working in aged care and/or with NDIS customers. • Other qualifications, training or experience related to the role of nursing. Essential Requirements • A commitment to successfully completing the 12-month Graduate Nurse Program including all educational, professional and clinical competencies. • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy) • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy. • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work • Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
